This will be an opportunity for leaders in local Community Associations, Business Improvement Associations and community advocates to come together and develop a plan for working collaboratively. We know that each one of you brings unique skills, experience and priorities to the table. We are so thrilled to bring everyone together so that we can learn from one another and build a shared vision for the future of College Ward.
The first meeting will be focused primarily on introductions, building connections and working together to establish a framework for future meetings. We ask that you send one representative from your organization to participate. The meeting will be 90-minutes in length and will take place at Ben Franklin Place (101 Centrepointe Dr). We recognize that with many local community associations, finding a time that works for everyone will be quite difficult. We have set up a doodle poll and ask that you submit your availability prior to January 31, 2023: https://doodle.com/meeting/participate/id/ejYvwy5d. Our office will send a meeting invite in early February once a date has been confirmed.
In the meantime, we want to take a moment to share how the Councillor’s office can provide support for the important work that you are doing in the community:
- You are welcome to solicit the Councillor’s office for a small donations for events
- Send community event details to collegeward@ottawa.ca so that we can include the updates in our email newsletter and/or social media platforms

- Join our contact list: At our first meeting we will circulate a sign-up sheet for all Ward 8 Council meeting participants. Sign up and, with your permission, we will share your details with other Council members.
